Summer Term Week 12
Friday 10th July
Summer Week 12 Learning
Hello everyone :)
Well, what a year this has been! I can't believe I'm writing my final letter to you all and I can't express just how proud I am of each and every one of you. Your wonderful photographs, videos and messages on Tapestry, along with our telephone chats and online meetings have really made me smile and have shown what a resilient, amazing, and wonderful bunch of children you are!
I know some of you may be worried about what school will look like in September and have some questions about learning in Year 1. You are not alone! One thing I can promise is that when you return in September, school will remain a happy, welcoming and safe space for you all to flourish. Miss Moorhead is really looking forward to getting to know you all and lucky for you, you already know Miss Allen very well! :)
To you wonderful parents, thank you, truly, for absolutely everything you have done during this very strange time. Many of you have juggled home schooling whilst working from home and we are very grateful for the time and energy you have spent on our learning packs. Please accept my heartfelt thanks for this. Don't worry about how much you have managed to get done, we'll make sure the children catch up with anything they've missed when they return to school.
Your learning pack contains a range of activities this week but as always, don't worry if you don't manage to get any done. Please note you can now download your child's Learning Journal via Tapestry. The instructions have been shared on Tapestry but do let me know if you have any problems.
Sadly the weather wasn't kind to us today but hopefully we can get together on Monday 13th July 9.15am-10.15am. You should have all received a message about this but do get in touch if you have any questions or concerns. I have lots of games for us to play (2m apart of course!) and Mrs Weatherspoon managed to get our speakers working on the field so we even have music too!
You have been wonderful Reception, you really have! I look forward to saying goodbye in person next week but if you can't make it, don't worry, I'll be popping in to say hello when you're in Year 1. I hope you all have a wonderful Summer and make lots of lovely memories. I'm sure I'll hear all about them in September!
Well done, your first year of school, you did it!
