Christmas Card competition

24th November 2017

Our Year 3 class took part in a competition to design a Christmas card for our local MP—Guy Opperman.  The winner is to have their card printed and used as Mr Opperman’s official Christmas card—being sent to the Prime Minister and lots of other very important people.

The winner was to go to London to see the Houses of Parliament with Mr Opperman.  We didn’t get the winner at our school, but we are delighted that Lily Macaulay was the runner up!  She got to visit Kielder Forest this week and helped to oversee the selecting and cutting down of the tree to be used outside The Houses of Parliament.  What an honour for Lily (and her Granddad who accompanied her).  Well done Lily!
