Church School Year
Our harvest service took place this year on Tuesday 22nd October, It was lovely to see so many friends and family with us in church.
Each Class came to share prayers, poems, hymns and some background information about this year's charity. By doing small chores at home in exchange for donations, our pupils raised over £500 for Care International.
Our Remembrance Service took place in school during Friday Worship with Fr. Tom. Our school hall was transformed into a beautiful space for reflection and prayer where children remembered those who had given up their lives for our freedom.
A Christmas Journey
Our Year 2 children visited St. Mary Magdalene Church in Prudhoe to take part in their very own Christmas Journey. They were welcomed into Bethlehem and listened to first-hand stories from the soldiers, Mary and Joseph, wise men, shepherds and angels.
The term ended with a beautiful church service held at St. Mary the Virgin, Ovingham. The church was filled with family and friends and the Year 2 children presented a festive tableau of the nativity scene at the altar.
This year's Nativity performance by KS1 was told through the eyes of the Landlord's Cat, with wonderful costumes, acting and singing by all. KS2 performed a very festive version of The Three Little Pigs bringing much laughter and enjoyment to the end of the term.
Sadly, due to current school closures, we have not been able to enjoy this year's Easter service together in church. We have, however, been able to watch Fr. Tom's church services streamed live from 'God's Tent,' which is currently set up in the vicarage garden.
