Coronovirus – Updated advice for parents/guardians
We are sure that you are all aware the HM Government yesterday announced that we are moving from the contain phase to the delay phase of their strategy. As we said in our last letter we will continue to follow advice from the Department for Education (DFE) and Public Health England (PHE) which can be found here.We have continued to maintain our high standards in our daily cleaning routines to minimise the risk of infection, with additional specific systems to further reduce any risk. At the moment there is no reason why your children should not continue to attend their early years, school or further education setting as normal. We recognise that some families or children may be planning to travel abroad. If so, please refer to the FCO's latest travel advice via the link. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/wuhan-novel-coronavirus-information-for-the-public
The latest govt advice on what to do if you have symptoms
Stay at home for 7 days if you have either:
- a high temperature
- a new continuous cough
- This will help to protect others in your community while you are infectious.
- Do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital.
- You do not need to contact NHS 111 to tell them you’re staying at home.
- They will not be testing people who are self-isolating with mild symptoms.
